![]() Some users also like to confuse errors with applications. That's quite normal when developing software. I've found a lot of bugs, some serious ones but not with v5.8.0. I'm not saying anything nice about Mobirise, I'm trying to judge it completely neutrally and objectively. If I find bugs, I report them as soon as possible and as accurately as possible. How is it possible that others seem to have enormous problems - I don't understand. I have 2.3 GB (gigabytes) of Mobirise pages on my server and could not find a single additional bug with v5.8.0. I only use the "Cookie Alert" extension for testing in one Mobirise3 and one Mobirise5 theme. I only have the extensions and themes installed that I use (about 90) and regularly back up the directory for those extensions. I take great care to always make all updates, but I never do this automatically so that I know which extensions receive an update and which one I then have to check. I've also never had to reinstall an extension on the + symbol. All in all, I no longer use any new Mobirise4 themes, but only maintain the existing ones. However, I only use the latest ElectricBlaze extensions in Mobirise5 themes. I basically use all extensions from Mobirise and ElectricBlaze in my projects and no third-party extensions at all. This only unnecessarily unsettles the community. That doesn't help anyone, neither Mobirise nor the users. I just can't have it when so many people badmouth a version without giving specific reasons, especially if you spend many hours intensively testing each version yourself - like I do. You would have to name them very precisely in order to be able to identify issues and also the circumstances in which such errors arise. The problem is then obviously not really Mobirise v5.8.0, but the problem seems to be caused by some extensions. I don't use either, and I have no issues with 5.8.0 as of yet (wink) fingers crossed! But without logging enabled i would have been blind to what was causing the hang. I removed them and everything then loaded perfectly and logging did not show the errors any longer. I tuned on logging and it identified them both as "incompatible". One was instagram and the other i cant rember (maybe twitter). Hey Gary which extensions gave you a problem? Just thought you should hear both sides of the coin. I needed to turn on logging to iron out a install issue which identified some incompatible extension issues. Well, after reading many of the posts above I thought it will be a good idea to wait a while before installing the new version, but after reading your post I will give it a try right now, hope everything goes well One of the best and most stable versions ever - no idea what you're doing there There is absolutely nothing wrong with the v5.8.0 at all. Your issue maybe different, but thought id mention it incase logging helps you. It really helped identify the issue in my case. It doesn't show a whole lot though, but perhaps just enough to see what's going on. It should open a logging window when you launch the shortcut. "c:\path\to\mobirise.exe" -enable-logging To enable logging, edit your Mobirise shortcut and add "-enable-logging" to it In my case they were both Mobirise extensions causing the issue not any of the 3rd party extensions. I removed those 2 extensions and all was good from that point. So i turned on logging when loading mobirise and it then told me about 2 incompatible extensions instagram and one other i cant remember. I had a similar issue when ininstalled 5.8.0 - spinning forever and message about some extensions not loaded when i cancelled it. And unfortunately I was careless, because I don't have a backup. I'd like to get back the 5.7.12 version where they still worked.īut I don't know where to find it, for some reason it disappeared from my computer. So, for example, my animated process indicator bars, which I successfully created last time, don't work either. So it disabled all my 3 party plugins.Īll the Witsec plugins, then also MobiGary M4 Block and animated blocks like Casper, there were divider separators and an animated header block. ![]() I restarted it and got the error message shown in the picture below. When I would load the editor in the first instance I let the sunlight/mobile phone icon spin for about half an hour and nothing.Īfter that I shut down the program with the windows close button. Unfortunately, it doesn't want to work properly for me.
